This weekend the MotorLand Aragon circuit has hosted the fifth round of the Spanish Superbike Championship (ESBK), where the Andotrans Team Torrentó came with great desire and enthusiasm to achieve good results, In addition, it also came with the added motivation in both categories., for the return of Oscar Gutiérrez and the leadership in the Supersport Next Generation category with Aleix Viu.

The Thursday and Friday were carried out free workouts, where the team worked on the set-up of the bikes and the riders found good sensations despite the suffocating heat.

The Saturday started with the qualifying session. on the queen category, Oscar Gutiérrez took the second row by finishing the QP in sixth position. Aleix Viu and Mario Mayor met later, and in the distribution of seats Supersport Next Generation, It saw managed to take pole position beating the track record in the category with a time of 1:54.718. Mayor, Meanwhile, claimed nineteenth position on the starting grid.

The first race on Saturday was carried out by the Superbikes. Oscar Gutiérrez, starting from sixth position, was fighting to gain positions and managed to come back to get on the third drawer of the podium.

In this way, Aleix Viu has concluded the fifth round as the leader in the general classification of the championship, with an advantage of eleven points with respect to the second classified of the general. Oscar, Meanwhile, you had a good weekend, he knew how to keep calm, It has been quite conservative and we must be aware that it came from an operation a month ago, so he has not been able to carry out his usual training routine, neither physically nor with the motorcycle, por lo tanto, this has conditioned him and today he has had a pretty tough race.
