The Ducati Scrambler Desert X could be the next adventurer to arrive

A ‘teaser’ released on networks by the Ducati Scrambler range announces the arrival of a new model for the 9 of March.

For the only thing the photos show, in which only sand is seen, Everything seems to indicate that it would be the beautiful and interesting Ducati Scrambler Desert X that we saw at the Milan Motor Show in 2019 as a prototype.

This bike was inspired by the Cagiva Elefant of the Paris-Dakar of the 80, with a very similar decoration. I rode a carbon engine guard, a double LED headlight and two tanks, one of them under the seat.

This ‘concept’ used a multi-adjustable inverted Marzocchi fork, with anti-friction TiN treatment. The brakes were a Brembo with radial anchor calipers, and the wheels, 21 "and 17", mounting a Pirelli Scorpion Rally, very ‘off road’.

The engine he was riding is the Desmo 1100 (1.073 c.c.) air cooled, that offers some good 86 CV.

Of course, the fork with TiN bars and the carbon protector would not be in a series version, nor possibly the two deposits.

If finally the Ducati Scrambler Desert X is the motorcycle that Ducati will show us shortly, could be a good competitor to the successful Ténéré 700 or the almost certain new Transalp.
