Shared removable batteries for motorcycles
Honda, Yamaha, KTM and Piaggio have signed a letter of intent for the creation of a so-called Interchangeable Battery Consortium for the L segment in the automotive industry (motorcycles, mopeds and light vehicles)
The objective of the consortium, which starts next May, will define the standardized technical specifications of the battery system in close collaboration with stakeholders and international standardization bodies , European and international. In this way, Pierer remarks “The limitations of electric propulsion systems in terms of autonomy, loading time and initial cost remain self-evident”.
