Harley-Davidson to launch new electric motorcycle brand

Harley Davidson has just announced the launch of a new brand specialized in electric motorcycles, and the specialized press has delivered two theories in this regard. The first is that the Milwaukee firm thinks that indeed the future is electric and its centennial large displacement engines are going down. And two, that an electric motorcycle under the Harley Davidson brand is like throwing food away because nobody will buy it.

The truth is that the brand decided to baptize its new brand with the name of its first motorcycle 100% electric, launched two years ago: LiveWire, in order to “provide the best experience for the urban motorcyclist, with personality and soul ".

The first motorcycle of the new brand, which is strictly the second of Harley Davidson, will premiere on 8 next june, and according to the brand, you will benefit from engineering expertise, manufacturing footprint, H-D's supply chain infrastructure and global logistics capabilities. LiveWire will have a virtual headquarters and two operations centers located in Silicon Valley (California) y Milwaukee (Wisconsin), and will use the same Harley Davidson dealer network, although with a greater emphasis on digital sales.
