The circuit has hosted the castellanomanchego 5Th round of the Championship Superbike Cetelem Spain (ESBK), disputing this last weekend of August and first of September.

The Andotrans Team Torrentó arrived at Albacete circuit with Oscar Gutierrez lead the standings, after taking a win and a third position before the summer break Motorland. Sander Kroeze, again working with the team after failing to compete in the last race in Aragon - because he coincided with another quote from the German championship speed-, nor to train with the team in Albacete, it would be the first time that the Dutch would pilot on this track. Even so, the team is very happy with his progress and performance during these days: learning from the first contact with the circuit and improving pace by leaps and bounds.

During the Friday practice, Oscar Gutierrez suffered a fairly significant drop with another rider involved. Fortunately, no physical consequences for either, but with the bike of Team Andotrans Torrentó very aggrieved. Thanks to the hard work and team involvement, the bike could be completely fixed in 2 hours and ready to get back on track in the next session.

During the day on Saturday and thanks to his best lap, Gutierrez got the 2nd place with a time of 1:33.013; after the champion of this competition in the year 2017 It has been incorporated into the championship and take first place in the grid. Kroeze stayed with twelfth place (1:34.391) for the start in the race the next day.

At 13:00 hours beginning Sunday was the 6th race of the season. Gutiérrez, out in the front row, He has maintained second position throughout the competition, with which he has finished his solo passage by the checkered flag.
